Dreams, of course, are very individual but just a couple of general things:
1. Every person in your dreams is an aspect of yourself.
2. If in the dream you are dying, it means you are ready for some big change where you will be reborn in a new capacity or role.

Please allow me to hope that this does not mean that you are planning big changes in your life like giving up teaching to become an administrator.

I promise that I will never become an administrator because that would be completely alien to my nature. As for abandoning teaching, I can’t be as sure, to be honest.

Just curious, if you don’t mind sharing:
Do you dream in color?
Do you see your body in your dreams, as if watching a play, or are you in your body, like in real life?

Not only are my dreams in color, they often feature symphonic orchestra music, fireworks and very complex plots. And I’ve been many different characters in my dreams. Recently, for instance, I’ve been Stalin. Which was no fun because I hate the fellow. But apparently I drove myself so hard with my work and the rigid self-imposed schedule that I became Stalin in my own imagination. And yes, sadly I had to inhabit Stalin’s body in these dreams, complete with his malfunctioning arm and leg.

Sounds like a pretty reasonable explanation for such a bizarre dream.
