Here is an interesting thing. The Bernie Sanders campaign contacted me from the very start. They knew my name, my email, and my address. The only way for them to have this information is through the Obama campaign databases. I donated to Obama back in 2012, which is how my information got out there.
However, I haven’t been contacted by the Hillary campaign. They don’t seem to know I exist. So what does this tell us? Who is really supported by the DNC?
Well, I’ve been a registered Republican all my voting life, and back in 2008 I got a campaign letter from Hillary asking for a donation.
So far this year no candidates have contacted me at all. (Maybe it’s because I’ve never donated to any political campaign, ever.)

Hillary is largely funded by high rollers. Bernie depends on smaller contributions from less affluent individuals. That may explain why you’ve heard from one and not the other.

Bernie also sends me a stream of news, updates, videos, etc. A campaign should try to reach out to people. And here there’s been silence from Hillary.
I put myself on her list today to see if that will change anything.

Still, asking for contributions to a Democratic candidate from a registered Republican is a stupid waste of bulk mailing funds!
I never get political campaign e-mails. Somehow, neither party has gotten hold of my e-mail address — yet.

If you are a registered Voter, your name, address, affiliation, and even the elections you’ve voted in are available as public information from the county or the state. The Democratic Party has probably compiled more detailed information on you as a voter and all Democratic candidates can access that database, for a price. You are probably also on many mailing lists that any campaign could purchase for fundraising purposes. Don’t worry, the candidates and parties you voted for are not included in any public information.

Oh, hi, Editor (Retired) — glad to see that your power is still on there in D.C. It’s 9:19 p.m. here in Arizona, a full moon in a clear sky, and 58 degrees.
As for my voting record, I only voted Democratic once — back in 1966 when I was too young to know any better. The person I voted for lost, and I’ve never made that mistake again.

If it looks like Hillary isn’t going to get the Democratic nomination, this election will get VERY interesting.
Biden, who’s very sorry that he didn’t run, will likely jump into the primary as the Democratic “savior.”
If the general election nonetheless turns out to be Trump versus Sanders, Michael Bloomberg will enter the race as a third-party candidate — a New York liberal Jew who wants to outlaw soda drinks and trans-fats running against another old New England Jewish socialist.
All Bloomberg will accomplish is to take away votes from Sanders, and give Trump an even more lopsided victory.
