The First Outing

The baby is out for her first walk around the neighborhood. I’m very happy that I will finally be able to take her out for walks because after being immobilized in the house for 3 weeks, I started having nosebleeds and high blood pressure.

      1. I thought that was British? “Baby buggy” is what I have always heard in US … but then again, US has many regions …

  1. I also thought “stroller” meant an upright seat facing forward for older babies and toddlers, allowing them to take in all the sights. A lightweight stroller makes going places a relative breeze, as far as packing/unpacking car, managing dear child, diaper bag, etc.

A miscellaneous thought concerning airplane trips: We bought one of those folding wheeled aluminum carts — the kind you bungee-cord suitcases to if you don’t have a suitcase with built-in wheels. Then we bungee-corded the car seat to it, and with son in stroller, made our way to the gate with one wheeled vehicle in front and one behind. Before that we carried car seat in arms and that was not easy.
