How did Putin explain to the people of Russia his connection to the offshore accounts in Panama?
He wanted to buy violins, he said. Violins for the people. Good, expensive violins. So his close friend opened the offshore account to buy violins. But the CIA doesn’t want the people of Russia to have access to good, high-quality violins, which is why it created this whole scandal.
Isn’t it kind of cool that he doesn’t even have to make the story sound not entirely insane?
Helps when you can kill those who disagree.. suddenly what you say carries more weight!!

This is straight out of the communist handbook. It’s about humiliating people by making them pretend to believe obvious BS.
A side effect is that a large enough number invest heavily enough in the obvious lies and nonsense that they can’t ever oppose it because to do so they would also have to admit that they were either had or complicit and both are unbearable.

That’s what I said from the start but people told me I was paranoid. I still believe that it makes sense to look at who benefits from this scandal. And Putin benefits a lot.
