So all of these angry idiots who wave Mexican flags in front of Trump’s rallies, assault female Trump supporters, burn American flags – what are they trying to do exactly? Help Trump get elected?

Their idiotic fit of passionate love for Mexico begs the question of why they are not right now in that Mexico they so love. Do they need Trump to get elected and take them back there and away from the US that they are finding so horrible?

Who are these losers and why aren’t they getting their heads examined ASAP?

That was despicable. I hope they go to jail. It’s not just a matter of ‘you’re helping the other side’. This is about the fundamental right of people to attend a political rally.

Yes, definitely, Trump attracts this sort of people. But I want our side not to be like this .

Yeah, wearing a yellow shirt and carrying a Trump sign is just begging for a bag full of something heavy to be slammed into your head….

        Inexcusable! This is completely wrong.

Yes, Mexican immigrants totally read Washington Post and listen to NPR all day long. :-)))

Well, there was violence in chicago too, where Trump had to cancel his rally. Also, there are all kinds of mexican immigrants.

Another example: The apocalyptic terms in which climate change is discussed in this country by democrats. But when it’s time to do something (like inserting environment-related clauses in trade agreements), suddenly we revert back to ‘incrementalism’, ‘time to be practical’, ‘it’s a complex problem, lots of gray areas’.

You can’t tell me we’re all going to drown in 100 years, and then think that a vague pledge in a G8 summit without any material change in policy is an appropriate response.

As you know there’s been widespread flooding in Texas, and huge floods in France and Germany.

I’m very sure the protesters are not actual immigrants. I suspect that California-born Mexicans may be in the same mold as Miami-born Cubans….

I agree that there is something fishy about these protesters.

How about all those Bernie Bros who are going to vote for Trump because they can’t stand Hilary?

“I don’t want to vote for Trump. I want to vote for Bernie. But I have reached the point where I feel like voting for Trump against Clinton would be doing my patriotic duty. … If the only way to escape a trap is to gnaw off my leg, I’d like to think I’d have the guts to do it.”

“I feel like voting for Trump against Clinton would be doing my patriotic duty.”

This bizarre logic makes no sense at all, unless the Bernie supporter has somehow convinced himself that Trump would be less of a disaster as President than Hillary — and I don’t see how anyone who agrees with Bernie’s socialist views can possibly believe that. 😦

This has got to be the craziest election season of my lifetime — even angrier and more hate-filled the 1968 election, when the country was torn apart by the Vietnam War.

They were “Spocked instead of spanked.” Are you old enough to get the reference? 🙂

So, Clarissa, none of your readers remember the very famous pediatrician Dr. Benjamin Spock, with his best-selling 1950s book on child care that, twenty years later , had feminist firebrands like Gloria Steinem condemning him publicly as “the worst enemy of women worldwide since Sigmund Freud.”

Traditional non-feminists blamed him, too, for his contribution to raising the brattiest, most spoiled generation of anti-work, anti-war, anti-establishment, and anti-bath hippie children in U.S. history. (Somehow the “greatest generation” who had won World War II had sired the “worst generation” — the baby bratters — in American history.)

Well, most of those original hippie brats grew up and got married and turned into responsible middle-aged citizens. But some of their grandchildren inherited the twisted gene, and are active today in various idiotic “Occupy” movements, and as rabid Bernie Bros and as their counterpoint Trump supporters.

          Welcome to the nuthouse!

Of course, I know Spock. He was all the rage in the USSR. Globalization didn’t start yesterday, you know.

Childhood trauma manifests on a different level. It’s private suffering, not public persona that happens as a result of the way we are treated in infancy.
