Local St Louis news reminds me of newscasts out of the 1990s St Petersburg.
Murder, murder, double murder, drive-by shooting, corruption in the city hall, triple murder, a shootout, a dog is taken to a world-class hotel and treated to room service, murder.

There’s an old America journalistic observation: If it bleeds, it leads. Here the morning newscast usually has one or more accidents, fires, or crimes, as the leading story. Fresno has the infamous Bulldog gang, but they aren’t that visible unless one or more of them get arrested for a felony of some sort.
