Pokémon Go’s popularity is fading. Inertia is winning. All gaming is about making psychological problems more tolerable. But the games where you sit and poke a screen or a mouse only create an illusion of solving these problems. A game where you’d go out and actually move held a possibility of a real solution or at least a partial alleviation of the psychological burden.

Stylish
Everybody at work asks me why I’m dressed so beautifully every day. I’ve been at home either pregnant or covered in spit up for 16 months. How surprising is it that I welcome the chance to look nice?
Trump’s Pivot
Oh, yes, Trump totally became more presidential. Such gravitas, such self-respect.
By the way, I stopped watching Morning Joe because I couldn’t take that much pro-Trumpian propaganda so early in the morning. And this is the gratitude the stupid shills get from their icon.
Trump’s Russian Comeback
Russian news outlets are sputtering with joy as they celebrate Trump’s “incredible comeback” and his newly formed lead over Clinton. I don’t know if there is such a comeback or such a lead but it’s funny how they forget to mention that the comeback was only needed after an association with them became widely known.
California 💟 Ukraine, Too
And it turns out that California is celebrating Ukraine’s independence, too.
💖💖💖 California.
Minnesota Celebrates Ukraine
Update
For those who fear that I ate a boxed Mac and cheese and expired, please don’t worry. I haven’t tried it yet. It’s back to school after a 16-month break tomorrow and I’m busily preparing. But I will have a lot to say after I get ready.
P.S. I just bought myself one of those tiered tiffin lunch boxes because I don’t feel like I’ll have time to leave my office for lunch this semester. Tiffin boxes look so cool!
Santa PAC
Bernie Sanders has established a PAC to promote his revolution. While I certainly applaud the idea, I don’t believe he’ll be very successful. After you spend the whole campaign riling people up against incrementalism, it’s not easy to pivot into the “yay to incrementalism!” that this PAC presupposes.
Santa Clauses make miracles, and that’s what people expect from them. A Santa Claus who requires you to do work is no Santa at all.
A Culinary Dream
Folks, do you know what I really want to try?
Mac and cheese.
It’s a part of life that escaped me completely, and I’m insanely curious what it tastes like. But it’s only ever served on kid menus so I never get a chance.
So I’ll make one out of a box, for a more complete cultural experiment.
