November 9th? WTF, November 9th? I thought it was supposed to be November 4.
On November 9th I will be alone! In Houston! Nobody to celebrate with ! We made family plans based on it being on November 4th. People are driving in from across the border to join the festivities! WTF!
Assuming that you’re talking about the U.S . Presidential election, in modern times it’s always been on the second Tuesday in November — so this year, November the 8th.
Also to be known as Day One of the New Dark Ages. 🙂

Dreidel, what happened? Where’s the positivity, the quality we know and love you for?

You’ll notice that I didn’t say it was the end of life as we know it. The human race progressed through the first Dark Ages — we’ll all survive the Age of Hillary with our chins up, and our hearts hopeful for an eventual return to a new Dawn of Reason.
(Actually, I’m looking forward to Hillary’s kicking Putin’s ass — something Obama can’t do, and trump wouldn’t.)

Are you voting for Clinton Dreidel??? AZ is a swing state and every vote counts!

We’ve already had early voting by mail here in Arizona, and I didn’t vote AGAINST her — that’s as far as I could go!

I’ll take it. If an enthusiastic conservative like you can’t bring himself to vote for Trump, then that truly suggests he’s doomed at the polls.

Yes, Dreidel, stand up to Putin!

Ah, no, Dreidel. It’s the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. That is, it can’t be November 1, if that’s a Tuesday. It couldn’t be the 4th, because that’s a Friday.

You’re correct, of course — thanks for pointing out my careless mistake!

I’m officially lost. Is it the 8th, then? At least, I’ll be home to celebrate

I literally cancelled a trip so I could be home on election day. I wanted to vote and watch the results come in.
I didn’t think I would care this much but as the day comes closer and Clinton’s standings are becoming more sure, I’m realizing that it’s quite meaningful to me to have a female president. I am only 42 but when I was a young woman I didn’t think that a female president would happen in my lifetime. And I’m glad that it might happen. 🙂

I’m very happy that when Klara becomes aware of such things, a woman president will be in office. I’ve been counting on this!
