I hate sliced bread but I saw people play this game somewhere on another blog, and it was lots of fun. People exchange ideas on which cool products they find extremely useful.

My best thing since sliced bread is not only very cheap and extremely durable but also super useful.

TURBIE TWIST!

This little $7 thingy helps me dry my crazy mop of hair without having to create huge and uncomfortable towel castles on my head that keep trying to slip off. ( I don’t use blow dryers and let my hair dry overnight instead.)

Ooh, I love this post. We’re all about the idea of getting small things that make a disproportionate impact on our lives, in a good way.

I’ll think of more, but here are a couple:

An anti-fogging mirror for the shower. Your skin’s the softest when you’re in the shower, so no razor bumps for me anymore when I shave. It has revolutionized my life!

Shoe trees for all my non-athletic shoes. Small investment that greatly prolongs the life of shoes and keeps them holding their shape.

A decent chef’s knife. Chopping has become a very zen-like activity for me, which is critical because I cook a lot. The two best budget-friendly knives I’d recommend are the Victorinox 8in Fibrox, and (a little pricier) Henckels 8in classic knife.

  I had to Google shoe trees. 🙂 I saw them once at a store but never had any. Maybe I should get some because they do sound like a good idea.

Binder clips. I bought a bunch of the medium sized ones and keep them in the kitchen and several places around the house. They are way better than those stupid plastic things at resealing bags and I’m always finding odd little problems that can be solved with a binder clip.

I am also in love with these sock holders. You just have to get into the habit of putting them on your dirty socks and they just keep them together through the washer and dryer and straight into the drawer.
