People are freaking out all over the place:
I don’t care that Pence got booed at a Broadway musical. I’m not even sure I’d be one of the boo-ers if I was there. But the instincts of our elite press to side with the powerful over the great unwashed masses is frightening.
The “great unwashed masses” are the folks who can afford to pay hundreds of dollars to attend a Broadway musical, of course. Those poor, downtrodden sufferers. I’m sure they’ve gone hungry for months to save up for the show and queued up in the cold, clutching their tattered rags to their bony, emaciated chests.
The price for a Broadway musical isn’t that bad. The “really good” seats tend to be more expensive, but even a decent ticket might cost between 50-75 dollars–and some of those seats are actually a lot better than the price makes you think. It’s still a lot, but definitely not in the hundreds of dollars.
Still, I wouldn’t call people who attend shows “the great unwashed masses.” That’s just absurdly dramatic.

I think all Broadway shows have $10 tickets available to full time students at curtain time, if any seats are available.
