Snowing

It’s snowing in Philadelphia, so I decided to look Russian.

Russian women don’t look so great. Only Ukrainians and Jews do – when they decide to look Russian. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I want to remind you that Klara is half Russian. 😆

Yes! And she is as beautiful as her parents and her great grandmother of the same name. 🙂 🙂

Beautiful picture — love the total outfit! It even goes perfectly with the wallpaper and ornate doorknob!

I’m glad you caught it! The point was exactly to fit in with the decadent decor.

I hate to break it to you but you don’t look the slightest bit Russian. Last year when I was in Cyprus there was a store in the hotel run by a Russian woman (maybe a few years younger than you). Who was easily the most Russian looking person I’ve ever seen.

She accomplished this by pulling a grey shawl around her shoulders and slightly tilting her head. Somehow this simple act projected all the despair of a thousand dying suns.

If you bought something she managed something that was probably supposed to be a smile that reminded you of someone reliving each and every sad dissapointment from twelve different lifetimes.

Try imagining that you’re about to march across Siberia with only half a loaf of stale bread to sustain you and might approach a Russian look.

Thank you, I’m glad I failed. ☺ It’s true that I can never look tragic enough to be mistaken for a mysterious Russian soul.
