Sour Polls

Another gem from the paper:

Polls are suggesting that voters are already souring on Donald Trump.

Hey, is that the same polls that predicted Trump’s resounding loss at every stage of this election? ‘Cause they have announced that the voters are souring on Trump for a year and a half, yet we are hours away from his inauguration.

    OT:
Can a French Friar End the 21st Century Slave Trade?
    Very interesting long read.

It is an unlikely story: a French economist puts on a white robe, disappears into the Amazon, and becomes one of the most influential anti-slavery strategists of our time.

Have you watched the movie “Falling Down” (1993)?

I heard it being described as a contemporary Odyssey, in which the Odysseus is a middle-aged white man, who is threatened by the changing social landscape of America. According to the surveys, those were the people who played a major role in electing Trump.

Somebody does research on the topic called William Forster, the main hero of the movie, a distilled version of Trump’s voter.

Love the opening scene of the movie:

      EXCELLENT MOVIE!

When the movie first came out, the theatrical trailor (previews) opened with the line, “Have the Nineties got you down?”

OK, now for the really important question: can it be streamed on Netflix? Otherwise it doesn’t exist.

    It was supposed to be:

“Somebody WHO does research on the topic called William Forster, the main hero of the movie, a distilled version of Trump’s voter.”

Wanted to add something positive to all the posts describing Trump. 🙂

I did watch the movie and enjoy it, btw.
