The ugly history of the word “cosmopolitan” when used as an insult.
The quiet accomplishments of Donald Trump.
The Google algorithm that weeds out fake news hits left-wing sites. Because so many have been unwittingly taken over by the Kremlin propagandists.
Teavana will close down. I’m sad because I love our local Teavana.
I’m stunned that the New York Times published such an outlandishly ignorant piece. What is it, the festival of the gleefully illiterate?
And that’s why I hate jury trials. It’s that vox populi thing again.
And finally, a post from the blogger I always read to put me in a good tranquil state of mind.
Which is why some of us who can’t stand Trump are very glad that the Republicans are in power.

I honestly have no idea what this is about. All words separately are clear but together are not speaking to me.

Fears and hopes in Jewish Agency ‘refugee center’ in Ukraine
Six-year-old Angelica was nearly killed from shrapnel in her bed; Victoria and her mother Sofia were trapped in their apartment building after it was hit by five shells; and 18-year-old Nikita convinced his parents to come to Israel with him after a rocket killed an entire family they knew. Jewish families from Ukraine’s conflict zones share their stories as they wait to make aliyah at a ‘transit camp’ near Dnepropetrovsk.

What’s really notable and what nobody is reporting is that Ukraine has 1,800,000 war refugees, all of whom have been resettled internally. This is an enormous success of the Ukrainian government.
