As we joked in the USSR, the best method of contraception is a condom worn over another condom plus complete abstinence.
Or, the best method of contraception is tomato juice. Before or after sex, you ask? The answer is, instead of!

Do they even read their own stuff before they hit “post”?

Strangely, one thing that’s never effective is natural immunity from prior infection. A healthy immune system, normal weight, and a healthy lifestyle are completely ineffective, as well.

Weird, isn’t it?
But not surprising. I come from a family of T2 diabetics, and have seen at least a decade of ADA advice on diet… and I think it was written by the same imbeciles: “Eat whatever you want, just make sure you use enough insulin to cover it” (so you can achieve maximum dependence on drug companies and die in misery, I guess).

Diabetes is big business. If a cure were discovered tomorrow, it would destroy the livelihoods of thousands of people and probably cause a recession.

I know. And having seen how that business works, it is freaking terrifying to see how large a business the new vaccines are. Those bastards could be killing 50% or more of their patients, and as long as it happens via slow decline in health (like standard T2D treatment), nothing short of burning down the drug companies with every exec still inside will stop them. The money’s too good, and the effective alternatives don’t funnel $$$ into their coffers.

In case you want to be more depressed about the current C19=$$$ situation, ran across this article this morning, that lays out how, and for what, the fedgov is paying hospitals under the CARES act, re: the Dread Virus.
https://aapsonline.org/bidens-bounty-on-your-life-hospitals-incentive-payments-for-covid-19/
“The hospital payments include:
-A “free” required PCR test in the Emergency Room or upon admission for every patient, with government-paid fee to hospital.
-Added bonus payment for each positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
-Another bonus for a COVID-19 admission to the hospital.
-A 20 percent “boost” bonus payment from Medicare on the entire hospital bill for use of remdesivir instead of medicines such as Ivermectin.
-Another and larger bonus payment to the hospital if a COVID-19 patient is mechanically ventilated.
-More money to the hospital if cause of death is listed as COVID-19, even if patient did not die directly of COVID-19.
-A COVID-19 diagnosis also provides extra payments to coroners.
CMS implemented “value-based” payment programs that track data such as how many workers at a healthcare facility receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Now we see why many hospitals implemented COVID-19 vaccine mandates. They are paid more.”
Might as well have a big flashing neon sign over every hospital entrance that says: PERVERSE INCENTIVES HERE!!!

So, in case you missed it, the fedgov isn’t just paying hospitals to test everyone for C19, they’re paying more for each C19 diagnosis. Think nobody is gaming that system? Now imagine you’re a hospital admin trying to maximize $$$ for your hospital, and apply the relevant logic to each item on that list.

We have a friend in his early seventies who is hospitalized for Covid. His kids are doing everything they can to prevent him being put on a ventilator, but the hospital keeps pushing it. I wonder why…

My university is still sending “COVID money” to students. Not to sick students (there aren’t any) but to all students. In the meantime, I’ve had to fire all but 2 lecturers because “there is no money.”

I don’t even see the logic. We haven’t been in lockdown for a long time. Jobs are abundant here in town. There’s a huge labor shortage. What are we paying for?
This is all nuts.

…also, automobile safety probably depends on seatbelts and helmets. Even when you’re not in a car. In fact, pedestrians should all wear seatbelts to protect people in cars.

Please make sure you eat some broccoli today to protect my health. My own isn’t working until you have some, too.

This has been known for many years already. There is nothing new about masks helping to reduce viral loads.
This constant regurgitation of already known things is annoying though. Vaccines are plentiful, masks are plentiful, just let each person take care of themselves however they want.
