Did you ever have one of those nights when everything seems to piss you off?
I’ve been so bored all evening that I’ve played Wordle a dozen times nonstop, and I’ve won every single time without even trying — and it makes me so mad that I want to smash something!
So I’m just going to bed now, and hope I have a nightmare to calm me down. Goodnight!

And if anybody cares, a good word to start Wordle with is “MIAOU” (an alternate English spelling of the cat sound “meow”), because it contains all of the primary English vowels except “E.”

I managed it! The very first time…. I hadn’t realized that if you have a letter then all occurrences of that letter would appear so I got stuck at -NOL- (the word was ‘knoll’…..)
But after that… get’s boring fast….

I tried German and Spanish but I’m too rusty in those languages… then I tried Polish and managed to get it although I didn’t really know the word (cewka – inductor)….

People do lose, but most people are not as linguistically gifted as Clarissa.
But I do agree, in six tries it should be possible to guess any word. The challenge becomes is to get it in as few tries and as little overall time as possible.

No offense or argument about abilities of the bloggers here — but I do not think that someone has to be “linguistically gifted” to crack wordle. Almost always, if there is a slightly esoteric word and a relatively common-use word which fit the pattern in the beginning, the final solution predominantly leans towards the latter.
