I decided not to be parochial and started investigating the riots in France. The first thing I discovered is that the rioters are burning libraries:

To be honest, to me it looks like the establishment of a new de facto hierarchy in French society. This is about teaching the new underclass their place and a new elite announcing their refusal to abide by old laws.

If “the new underclass” = “French” and “a new elite” = “Arabs”, I cannot agree.
The rioters in France, like most Floyd rioters in America, belong to the underclass now and are 99% likely to remain in it.
Seems there is pressure on Macron to deport more immigrants:

It’s not about class, it’s about status and law. More specifically it’s about who has to follow what laws. The heritage french are expected to follow French laws (which include a ban on retributive violence when they are killed by illegal migrants) and the rioters are saying that they have no intention of following French laws and attempts to make them do so will be met with violence.
Well, they did colonize them in the first place. This would understandably result in many people with confused identities.

Nothing. You can’t turn men into women or those who aren’t French into the French. Human beings are not blank slates on which you can write anything you want. Liberalism believes that humans are infinitely malleable but it’s not true.

You can’t do much with the adults (always been that way). You can only influence the children and usually then if the adults are on board with the children being more like the heritage population in terms of language and culture.
What usually happens in Europe is that parents from North Africa/Middle East actively sabotage this process as they are far more interested in passing on their culture shock trauma to their children.
This happens for different reasons in different places to different degrees but no European government so far has really managed to counteract it.
Once the first generation of children have failed to assimilate the pattern continues as those born in the new country also join in the process of ensuring that not many assimilate successfully.
There are some individual success stories of those that successfully join the majority society but not nearly enough and collective failure of NA/ME immigrants to thrive is the norm in Europe.

A Brit or a Pole or a German can assimilate in the US because they are variations on the same civilization. They have the same cultural heritage, the same archetypes, the same history.
But once you get into a completely different religious tradition – even if today’s generation is not religious, it doesn’t matter, the imprint is already there – different archetypes, a different historical memory, there’s no assimilating.

Can you see logical mistake in this analysis? It sounds as a possible interpretation to me, but may be I don’t know all the facts (don’t post link since it’s from telegram):

(1) Относительно возможной угрозы диверсии на Запорожской АЭС. Украинская общественность изначально отводит роль злодея России, абсолютно отрицая возможность каких-либо действий в отношении АЭС со стороны Киева.
Однако здесь стоит понимать, что военная логика кардинально отличается от «мирной», и то, что в принципе не может рассматриваться в невоенное время, может стать совершенно допустимым в военное.
Поэтому если Киев сочтет, что диверсия на АЭС соответствует военному планированию, он будет рассматривать ее как допустимую. И, естественно, сделает всё, чтобы переложить вину на противника.
Вообще, если рассматривать действия тех или иных субъектов с такой точки зрения, то многое становится на свои места в том смысле, что исчезают многие «нестыковки».

Та же история с ковидом тоже имеет сугубо военную логику, так как западная элита вынужденно решает проблему все того же глобального кризиса. Никаких мирных ограничений в событиях 20-22 годов найти невозможно, а вот если рассматривать их с точки зрения военной необходимости, где противником был объявлен средний класс, который существенно потерял в ходе двухлетней пандемии – причем потерял не столько материально (это само собой, но несущественно), сколько потерял свою субъектность. Теперь средний класс существенно поражен в правах, а готовящееся Пандемическое соглашение зафиксирует и формализует утрату свобод и субъектности «золотого миллиарда», что, собственно, и создает ситуацию победы для тех, кто планировал историю с пандемией.
Возвращаясь к событиям вокруг АЭС. Украина не может в силу объективных обстоятельств добиться сейчас быстрой и убедительной победы на поле боя. Те силы, которые стоят на Западе за истощение и военный разгром России, но без ее распада, вооружили Украину так, что она не способна к полноценной современной наступательной войне. Нет авиации – нет господства в воздухе – нет наступления. Современные войны выигрываются только за счет господства одной из сторон в небе. Других вариантов нет. Залужный совершенно не зря буквально на эмоциях на днях проехался по неназванным зрителям «шоу», имея в виду очевидно западных зрителей. Он требовал либо дождаться авиации, либо отложить наступление – но политические аспекты отложили в сторону военную логику.
(2) Поэтому Киев, отдавая себе отчет, что Запад играет на замораживание конфликта, может пойти на обострение – тем более, что Запад не един, и точка зрения, что Россия должна быть не просто разгромлена, но и фрагметирована внутренними процессами, продолжает быть достаточно сильной. Британское правительство, к примеру, тяготеет именно к этой точке зрения.
В общем, игра на обострение для Киева становится тем более актуальной, чем менее возможным становится убедительная победа на поле боя сейчас.
Обострение обнулит тренд на замораживание конфликта и вынудит Запад ускорить передачу авиации. Именно поэтому командование ВСУ ведет наступательные действия, используя примерно треть от накопленных для наступления сил. Большая часть вообще в наступлении участия не принимает. Вероятно, военные поставили Зеленскому ультиматум любой ценой получить авиацию – и только после этого они смогут проводить решительные наступательные действия.
Поэтому для Киева в рамках именно военной необходимости вполне может показаться необходимым проведение какой-либо операции, которая ломает сложившуюся ситуацию, идущую сейчас в направлении «заморозки».
Проще говоря – либо ничего не делать, и тогда через два-три месяца придется идти на переговоры на самых невыгодных условиях, либо делать и рисковать – но тогда появляется совершенно иное пространство решений.
Логика Киева в данном случае не имеет ничего общего с обычной гражданской. Если потребуется – то будут обострять через какой-то шоковый кризис. А что может быть более шоковым для Европы, чем ядерная авария на территории Европы? И если другого способа получить заветные самолеты нет, то будут пробовать этот, который даст эти самолеты.

This is Russian propaganda. They’ve done the exact same thing before exploding the Kahovka dam. Almost word for word. And before each massive attack on civilians.
It’s curious that Russians are preparing to blow up a nuclear plant and at that exact same moment Elon Musk dramatically limits the possibility of people to spread news and receive information.

I mostly use twitter to keep up with the Ukraine situation and in withdrawal tried gab…. wall to wall putinites in which I learned about massive Ukrainian losses and how moscow is just minutes away from taking half the country and paens to the power and wisdom of uncle vova…. I interacted with one who admitted not being ‘that well versed’ about russia but was very stubborn about believing the russian party line (and has offered to educate me…)

They’ve mostly been a minority trying to not stand out too much. That makes it easier for the less religious to assimilate in the US.
The extremely religious do not assimilate and don’t contribute much to the society they find themselves in.
Hindus and Buddhists also have minimal problem in assimilating (maybe because those religions aren’t so much built on the idea of believing a unique truth).
The biggest problem seems to be…. muslims from muslim majority countries who are not used to blending in and who are socialized to regard non-muslims as inherently inferior and… filthy. How can someone assimilate to a filthy and inferior culture full of people who live in a constant state of sin?
It’s not called a Judeo-Christian tradition for nothing.
