More Co-working

God, I love the co-working space. I don’t mind people being around when I work. In fact, I prefer there being people. But I need them to not know me.

It’s completely free to work at the co-working space. And there’s free coffee and even free beer of many different kinds. Free excellent Wi-Fi. Table tennis. Isolated, quiet spaces for zooming. Meeting rooms. Sofas, armchairs of every kind. And it’s huge.

The co=working space sounds lovely, but I am confused about how the economics of it work if it is free – who is paying the bills for the space and all the amenities? Is it part of your university? (Apologies if this was answered in a previous post – I was away and haven’t caught up on all old posts yet.)

My university does pay a subscription but this place received a gigantic federal grant to support the economically flailing area. So I think anybody can just come and work here. Nobody asks for ID or anything.

Aha! It’s my taxes 😉 Glad it’s going to a good cause.
