   Short and interesting – why Palestinians in Gaza and in the West Bank are two different “peoples”:

   “Народ сектора Газы” (я намеренно употребляю такой термин) уже существенно отличается от “народа Западного берега Иордана”. Население этих территорий изначально составляли разные кланы и эмигранты из разных районов. Жители сектора Газы – отчасти эмигранты из Египта в первой половине ХХ в., отчасти беженцы/выселенцы из района от Тель-Авива и южнее, и бедуины Негева там есть.

   Interesting point against the belief that support for Hamas should be blamed on “leftists” dedicated to the idea of “American imperialism”:

      Yeah… Sorry, not buying it. The absolute callousness at best and glee at worst that the left addressed towards the Israeli victims shows that not everyone deserves compassion. There’s a very clear line that has been drawn between the boring, inconvenient, never innocent victims and the victims who really count. Even when they don’t really exist.
