I respect this guy’s outrage but where have European and American Jews stood on open borders? We all know exactly where. And even now, I’m yet to see one who’d say “I was so wrong, open borders are terrible, build the wall / support Brexit, deport illegals, massively reduce immigration”.

People keep posting these images like they haven’t spent decades denouncing every attempt to limit migration as fascism, Nazism, and something-phobia.

Bernie Sanders is getting eviscerated by his own followers for expressing grief over a synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh 7 years ago. Not in Palestine! In Pittsburgh. But what exactly did he expect, letting BLMers speak at his rallies? What, he didn’t know how they felt about Jews? He’s from Brooklyn, and he never noticed?

I have Jewish friends who went to protest at the airport when Trump tried to limit travel from Islamist countries. One of them is texting me pictures of these anti-Jew protests every day now. “We live in fear! Is a new Holocaust coming?”

“I don’t know,” I said. “Did you bring one here? You clearly were desperate to make sure the people in today’s marches get to come here. Now they are here, what are you upset about? Wasn’t this the goal?*

Guess what the friend responded to this tirade of mine?

“What makes you think those are immigrants?”

The lesson hasn’t been learned yet.

    Pavel Schelin gave a great interview 12.10.23 regarding EU, neoliberalism, wars in Ukraine and Israel, a neoliberal military-industrial complex and more. Decided to post the best points below since they look like uncomfortable truths no one is ready to face, even if I don’t agree with everything. [Pavel Schelin works in Arestovich’s online-school «Апейрон» and presents himself as a political philosopher. Wanted to find out what he studied but didn’t succeed.]

    During the last 70 years the Western global order was based on the hypocritic idea of the end of history, especially the end of wars. Everybody, including FSU in Afghanistan, prepares army forces for special ops in the conditions of technological superiority. It leads to the degradation of armies, as was demonstrated by the “second in the world” Russian army on 24.02.22 and by IDF on 7.10.23 (I am unsure re IDF, but report Schelin’s words.) Schelin sees as extremely dangerous the development of weapons, like drones, which destroys the superiority of nation states vs. non-state actors.

    This attempt to stop history created numerous conflicts which cannot be resolved via peaceful means. For instance, Palestinian / Israeli conflict is a case in which peaceful coexistence is impossible; one of the two must stop being a subject (быть субъектом). There is no place on the map for two states, and for Israel leaving territories is suicidal (военное самоубийство).

    Israel for the Arab world is what the Gaza Strip is for Israel since it’s an alien body located in the middle of trade routes and logistics chains.

    Why are civilians suffering the most? The philosophical paradox of war is that, to put any restrictions on warfare methods, one must give it a legitimately recognized space in foreign relations. Otherwise, war expends indefinitely; even domestic policy turns into a civil war. See: Ukrainian cultural front, economic front, песенный фронт.

    A neoliberal military-industrial complex is unready for big / mass wars. If we have no wars but only special ops, the complex works to produce a small number of technologically advanced and costly weaponry. It lets the system to engage in money laundering. Thus, financially, it’s more profitable to produce one costly plane than 10 simpler ones.

It lets the system to engage in money laundering. Thus, financially, it’s more profitable to produce one expensive plane than 10 simpler ones.

    The current military-industrial complex is unable to produce sufficient weaponry for two large wars: in Ukraine and in the Middle East.

        In what concerns Schelin, Arestovych expelled him from his school for Russian propaganda several months ago.

      I didn’t. I still want the wall, no citizenship for anchor babies, and no application for immigration accepted on the territory of the US or at the border from illegal immigrants.

      We are never going to get any of this but I want it.

    Unlike you, I have no respect for this man’s outrage. It really is baseless and unjustified.
    He is a self-described educator on anti-semitism, openly gay, ethnically Jewish though not a practicing Jew and, until recently, very progressive if not left-wing. That combination blinded him to the reality of left-wing progressivism. Now that he has seen the light he has to start the hard work of unpicking the web of lies and delusions in which he had wrapped himself to this day. Stop the outrage – which is cheap – and start with the self-criticism, which hurts at first but heals in the end.

    Regarding pogroms, they are about to start in Muslim parts of Russia (Makhachkala in Dagestan) and French are already fearing they will suffer a similar attack.

    IN RUSSIA —

    Looked at two shot videos how Makhachkala is welcoming a plane from Tel Aviv — they stop cars, check documents and tell each other Russian citizenship doesn’t mean anything since ‘they’ (Jews) often have dual citizenship.

          I really, really want to hear from pro-Russian conservatives how they explain supporting people who march under the same flags and do the same stuff as the campus lefties they so despise. Why is the exact same thing bad on Columbia campus and great in Mahachkala?

          Yesterday Kadyrovites slaughtered an entire family in Donetsk. Why is it bad when Islamists do it in Israel but good when Islamists do it in Ukraine?

    I am afraid those crowds will start murdering and destroying airports even if there are no Jews at all in the vicinity. Now saw 2 videos on Telegram of:

    “A crowd is preparing to storm Makhachkala airport to deal with Jews flying in from Israel. There are no police.”

    AND

    ” A crowd of anti-Semites in Russia caught a man, suspecting that he was a “Jew,” took away his passport and began to interrogate him: “You are a Jew (Yahud).” ”

    My favorite is how those people treat Russian police. As you read the following remember the meek bleating of Navalny’s supporters and people getting years in jail for allegedly hurting a cop in riot gear by throwing a small plastic cup:

    The police do not interfere with this process; moreover, in search of “Jews,” the crowd even checks the paddy wagons of security forces.
    Telegram channels, meanwhile, call for tracking cars to their destinations in order to identify those who have arrived.

      I saw footage of large manifestations under Palestinian flags in different parts of Russia. Apparently, manifestations are allowed in Russia when they are for the Palestinian cause.
