I hope everybody understands that there’s no such thing as a spontaneous mob action in Russia. This kind of thing happens when there are orders for it to happen.
I didn’t believe the rumors that Putin died on Thursday, and didn’t even mention them here. And maybe he didn’t die but something did happen to give the orders to let the mobs run free.
Why should Jewish refugees want to go to Dagestan? The very idea… And yet, there used to be a significant Jewish community living throughout the Caucasus [you can get delicious Georgian bread in some bakeries in Israel] I just hope they are safe in Eretz or anywhere but Russia.

Pretty much my take. Whether he’s alive or dead is ultimately less interesting than the fact that the message was put out there at all (and a russia after putin became a bit more psychologically real).
I do think he uses doubles and I do think he’s sick and I do think there is maneuvering going on and some kind of power struggle…. but beyond that it’s impossible to say.
Do you have any idea which player would be most/more likely to use Jews as a scapegoat to distract from the disaster in Ukraine (besides… all of them).
The Rotenberg brothers have one of the strongest claims to power in Russia. Not in person, of course, with that last name. But this might be a sign to them that it’s very easy to sic a crowd on them once Putin is gone.

В сети циркулируют предположения, что антисемитский погром в Дагестане возник не случайно. И вовсе он не был инспирирован извне. Возможно, есть связь с планами федерального центра устроить в ближайшее время в республике большую антикоррупционную чистку. Первые аресты уже прошли и ожидался большой десант правоохранителей из Москвы. Но теперь он не прилетит. Аэропорт же закрыт. Как вовремя подвернулось евреи, однако. Да и вообще сейчас Дагестан поостерегутся трогать
