Canada Day celebrations in Montreal today are the palest of shadows of what they used to be.
I blame much of it on COVID lockdowns that made people forget what it was like to get together to celebrate and enjoy togetherness.

Harjit Sajjan, Canada’s minister of defence during the fall of Kabul in August, 2021… instructed the Canadian Forces to mount a rescue operation for about 225 Afghan Sikhs hoping to get on one of Canada’s planes.

Canada left behind 1,250 Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and their family members. Hundreds more Afghans who assisted the Canadian Army were left stranded.
Left the citizens of his own country to die while prioritizing non-citizens of his ethnic group.

What a terrible story. Tribalism is the death of a nation. I hope this guy suffers consequences for this.
