White Women Outreach

I don’t know, I’m a white woman. A very persuadable white woman. And I’m seeing nothing but efforts to alienate me on the part of the Harris campaign. The condescending, pursed-lipped, scolding messages from black influencers, “OK, white women. Don’t mess this up!” raise my hackles. I switch off after that because it’s bloody insulting. And I’ve already seen several different such performances with some subservient basic broads responding, “Ready to follow orders!” Barf.

I’ve heard nothing about school closures and who’s going to take responsibility. I’ve heard nothing about gender mania and how it’s going to be removed from schools. I’ve heard nothing about how I’ll start paying less at the grocery store.

All I’m hearing from the Harris campaign is racismsexism, racismsexism, racismsexism. White dudes, white women, black and brown this and that. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, that’s all I’m getting. Maybe it’s different on TV but I don’t watch.

So I’m not sure where and how Dems are appealing to white women. I mean, they are appealing to those who were theirs to begin with but the ones who are persuadable either way (meaning, the ones with a functioning brain), not at all.

  1. I can tell by his use of the word “mobilize” that Walsh is talking about “turning out the base.” There are a surprising number of people who think all elections are won solely by turning out more loyal Democrats/Republicans and that swing voters either don’t matter or don’t exist. Obviously this is one part of a successful campaign strategy, but by and large swing voters are what make the difference in presidential elections (in lower turnout midterm elections, maybe a different story.)

  2. I’m sorry to bust you’re bubble here but the racists do not consider you a “white woman”. You’re a Jewish woman from Ukraine. You’re supposed to originate from the Middle East. Nothing wrong with that, but those who didn’t consider Italians or Irish or Poles or Aryan Iranians/Indians white would not consider you white — which should make you think a bit about that whole I’m-now-conservative thing.

And speaking of being persuadable however, if what Putin — Trump’s boyfriend — is doing to Ukraine is not enough to make you vote Dems, then maybe there’s no hope.

    1. Such sincere advice from a well-wisher.

“You may feel good about yourself and your place in american society which you’ve managed to successfully integrate into along all dimensions professional and personal, but did you realize most americans, including your neighbors and most people you interact with secretly despise you? Just FYI.

      Signed,

      Your best friend.”

      1. How’s it “despise” to say a Jewish woman isn’t “white” by the definitions of the white establishment? Are you saying that the only way to not be despised in America is to pass as white? What a weird conclusion.

      1. I have no idea what my Jewish origins, which are undetectable unless I bring them up, have to do with it. My point is simply that I’m not seeing any Kamala messaging that would be interesting to white suburban mothers who aren’t already very left-wing. “White woman bad” is a line that lands with a certain kind of women but they are all already in the bag for the Dems. I was hoping somebody could point me to some messaging I might be missing because all I’m seeing in this campaign right now is race-mongering.

        1. Yeah (was replying to the anon, in case it wasn’t clear), people who constantly bring up race, and have to remind everybody about what race everybody in the conversation is, and who hates whom, seem very weird to me. What produces that kind of mindset? I don’t understand it, and it seems very artificial. Did they grow up with it? Were they trained to look at things that way? Is it just one of those normie things I missed out on?

        2. I just heard that Kamala went on RuPaul Drag Race a couple of days ago. Is that appealing to white women who aren’t extremely lefty already? I heard her remarks. They are all about the freedom to seek different sex partners which is clearly not a problem for white women.

Sex and race. It’s all that Dems ever offer.

  3. I figure the difference between me and most women is… most women really are susceptible to that kind of social pressure, whereas I and largely oblivious to it, but as soon as the volume reaches a level where I can detect it, I wanna puke and punch someone (at the same time!).

That’s why they use that ‘nudge’ crap. Because it hijacks normal herd-instinct social responses and *it works*. Not on you and me. But on most socially-functional people, particularly women.

      Warning: Extreme gender stereotypes incoming!

Among themselves young men enjoy daring each other to do really stupid, sometimes dangerous stuff. This is primarily a bonding exercise though it can also serve to establish a rough hierarchy.

Among themselves young women enjoy enacting strict social etiquette rules while watching each other like a hawk. It’s not about bonding but does establish a hierarchy based on fear of not fitting in.

Please somebody tell me she’s not really like that, please, somebody, please.

              1. I know it’s selection bias, but the youngsters I know these days seem very interested in forming families and engaging in pretty extreme monogamy. I never bring it up in conversation, but they certainly do!

  4. This whole white women Kamala thing is pure cringe, it plays to the stereotype that women only vote for other women unless the woman is a Republican, then she’s a she-devil traitor. I hate this stuff as both a woman and a “woman of color”, Kamala is a terrible candidate and a pure affirmative action politician who got her start as a mistress.

Stuff like this is why I really dislike many liberal women, they honestly think Trump is the second coming of Hitler and that Vance is Goring and that they’ll be living in Handmaidens Tale. They don’t care about the economy, the border, protecting children or sensible policies, just the right to abortion on demand and the right to fuck anyone on two legs like a nymphomaniac on meth. I get along much better with conservative men for this reason, especially libertarians and paleo conservatives since MAGA has its share of hysteria

Talking to someone who performatively overemotes is like having a giant leech attached to my face. Though in the end I might prefer the leech.
