I was late to the DEI meeting of the week, and when I came in, people were introducing themselves as, “I’m a flower, I’m a tree, I’m a branch.”
I had no idea what they were in about, so I said I’m Chair of Foreign Languages. Which I am. I don’t know what need to happens for me to say “I’m a flower” in the workplace.
I’m so tired of this corporate crap, I can’t tell you.
John 15:5 (New International Version): “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.”
Ask each team to draw a flower on the paper. The flower should have a large center and several petals. In the center of the flower, participants write down a common trait that all team members share. This could be something like “we all love music” or “we’re all passionate about sustainability.” On each petal, participants write down a unique trait about themselves. These traits can be personal, cultural, or related to their experiences. Once the flowers are complete, teams exchange their creations with other groups. Teams then discuss the common and unique traits represented in the flowers they received.
DEI activities like this attempt to contribute a positive work culture, where everyone feels valued and included.

I threw up a little in my mouth after reading this. These are very, very strange people.

What a wretched human being you are, constantly spewing hate for christians here. Wouldn’t be out of character for an israeli though. The least self-aware people on the planet.

This feels like it should be offensive, but then I think back on every Israeli I’ve ever worked with…

Out of everything in mosckerr’s postings, this is the one you’re offended by.
Huh.
And here’s an early Christmas gift: Mike Huckabee will be the ambassador to Israel

I’m not an American and did not know whether Mr Huckabee’s appointment was a good or a bad thing, so I went to the AP article linked in your reply and was flabbergasted to see that among the inflammatory/outrageous opinions Mr Huckabee holds, AP – a true beacon of the free, impartial, totally accountable, pro-democracy press – cites the following, abominable, act engaged in by the unspeakable Mr Huckabee: “He expresses outrage over Oct. 7 attack by Hamas“.
So, Nonna Maus, thank you for drawing my attention to this remarkable, fine, outstanding gentleman who, I am sure, will do great things for America, Israel and the Jews. Even as a non-American I can only be impressed by the wise, prudent and judicious appointments the President-Elect has made so far. If Anti-Trumpers are outraged, this can only bode well. Well done!

I’m very VERY into politics but this is the very first time I’m excited about Cabinet picks. Usually, I don’t know who they are and it’s all identical bureaucrats anyway. But this time it’s a completely different ballgame.
Not only did Trump run a completely different campaign than the previous two times, he’s going to run a completely different presidency. I want to reiterate how extraerlo this capacity to change is in somebody who is pushing 80.

I like both Sarah and Mike Huckabee. Never heard anything negative about them. Trump’s pick of a very religious Huckabee is smart because it’s a reminder to Israel that while we are with you, we have our own culture and our own interests, so be mindful and respectful.
Who is making these picks? Is it Trump personally? Because they are so good.

I’m liking most of what I see here, as well. Remains to be seen whether they’ll be really effective, or if we’ll have 2016 redux where America’s grotesquely obese bureaucracy overcomes them by sheer superiority of mass and inertia.

I am a huge fan of Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Mike’s daughter) ever since she was WH press secretary. That was the only time in my life I ever deliberately watched WH press conferences, they were so entertaining. I’m afraid all I know about Mr. Huckabee is that he’s her dad… but that speaks well for him!

I agree, she was a great press secretary. I remember her fondly in that role. I won’t even compare her to Jeanne-Pierre who is an embarrassment to this role.

Tucker is going to be the new press secretary. It’s so cute! I hope his manly persona can survive being a secretary. 😆😆😆
A great spot for him. Absolutely excellent. Yet another phenomenal appointment, what’s happening, am I dreaming?

Even if this type of activity were only meant for kindergartners, it would still be laughable and obnoxious.
However, your reference to “Xtian cultural traditions” is only relevant in so far as DEI/Wokery clearly represents a deterioration, deformation and involution of authentic Christian thought.
Wokism is a social, psychological and mental pathology precisely because it claims to replace Christian salvation by substituting secular virtue and innocence signalling for true repentance and sacramental atonement. Theirs is mere playacting, a masquerade of compassion and humanity, which belies extreme authoritarian and tyrannical intent, and true Christians can see through it in the blink of an eye.
The reason for all this is, of course, that ALL of the mainstream Christian Churches in America, of all denominations, have long since stopped being faithful to the authentic Tradition and the Depositum Fidei which the Holy Orthodox Church alone still preserves to this day.

Yes. and the ultimate irony of it is that the Amish Anabaptists, many voting for the first time, may well have provided the votes that gave the state of Pennsylvania to Trump ;-D
