On the positive side, I’ve pretty much decided to write a book on Canadian literature in Ukrainian when I go on sabbatical. Now I have to read up because I have no organizing idea yet. You will be the first people to know once I figure it out.
You’ve taken on a big project, I wish you luck and pray for your success. Keep in mind that there is lot more to the Canadian experience, as expressed in our literature, than the works that came out of the Quebec-Windsor corridor. Your Ukrainian readers might be interested in the literature produced by Ukrainian immigrants, and their descendants, in Western Canada. Newfoundland and the Maritimes have there own stories too.
Absolutely. I want to cover as many regions as possible and understand them deeply. This will take a while but it’s totally worth it.
