They Are Doing It

How come she’s adult enough to have a husband but not adult enough to see something so obvious?

Speaking of understanding social cues, what does it mean when a man and a woman have an intensely and weirdly emotional reaction to each other? Call Sherlock, there’s a mystery afoot.

No, not really, because it always means the same thing.

  1. Besides everything you have said, I honestly cannot imagine giving anyone, who is not in my immediate family, that kind of access to my house.

    1. Probably grew up without a father and is re-creating the triangle of mommy-daddy-me in this perverse form.

People who grew up without getting a chance to figure out a normal, healthy place in this basic triangle of life will create endless triangles in their personal life, at work, among friends.

There’s a million reasons why two parents, living together is the foundation of future normal, healthy engagement with life. This is only one of them.

      1. I guess I’m an idiot. You’re saying “they are doing it” as in they are having an affair? I can’t imagine having this kind of relationship, or these kinds of boundaries, maybe that’s why it doesn’t make sense to me.

        1. They are either already sleeping together or are about to begin.

You aren’t an idiot. You are a normal, healthy person who doesn’t live in this way, that’s all.

  2. Re the “best friend” figure:

So many women do not seem to realise that who they call their “best friend” is just someone that is using them.
