The shock that it did fail to inspire the masses is fun to observe.
Notice, also, the COVID vibes in the air. The COVID hysteria also started in late March – early April and produced riots by the end of May. It was also an effort of the Zoom class to position itself as more virtuous and caring as the plebs delivering its packages and bagging their groceries.
“COVID vibes in the air”
I don’t watch much US produced TV but in the last week I’ve seen two different series, released within the last couple of weeks (one a comedy one a drama) with people testing positive for COVID and isolating….
Are they trying to do COVID again?

They loved covid. They wanna do it every year.
That or the scripts were written three years ago, the show filmed last year, and it’s only just now airing?

…speaking of which, looks like there were some ‘rallies’ slated for this weekend.
Did that actually happen?

I went to see what Michael Moore is doing. He’s supposed to be overjoyed that somebody is reversing the policies whose terrible consequence he so poignantly portrayed in “Roger and Me”.
But no. He’s organizing protests. Strange how that works. Michael Moore is now suddenly in favor of globalization.

Yeah, it’s almost like he was always a communist, a wealthy, porcine communist perhaps, but still a communist ;-D

“he was always a communist”
A leftist the two overlap some but aren’t the same.
Some people keep their political labels and change their view as the CW of the label changes.
Others keep their values and change their labels.
Moore belongs to the first category, he was and is a leftist.
When he made Roger & Me the left cared about the working class and the right didn’t.
The left is now vehemently, at times stridently against the working class.

Dude made a name and a fortune out of decrying the shipment of manufacturing jobs overseas. Now, all of a sudden, he’s organizing protests in support of… shipping jobs overseas.

He was… until he stopped and is now promoting the exact opposite beliefs. He’s not doing the same as always. That would be unremarkable. He’s doing the opposite of always.

But under the same political banner.

Exactly. That’s what leftism has become. Zero principles, zero beliefs. It’s all about expediency and a fight for power.
I have changed my political affiliation but my animating principle is always my opposition to neoliberalism.

Some people are creeps.
One should always be against creeps, even on the odd occasions when they are promoting something that coincides with one’s own interests.
Moore is such a person.
