Vacation Pics

I took this from the top of the Faro de Moncloa:

What is Faro de Moncloa? It’s this:

OK, I promise no more vacation pics. I know everybody hates them.

I have another trip coming up, this time to Milwaukee. I will use it to resign from my position on the executive board of my association. That will feel good. Besides, Milwaukee has got to be nice, right? Cheeses and all.

I also have good news to communicate:

  1. Milwaukee is lovely! I recommend the Milwaukee Art Museum….Really beautiful building. Even if you aren’t interested in the particular exhibits, the interior will take your breath away and it is right on Lake Michigan. (The museum is designed by Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava and is a sort of symbol of Milwaukee). There is also a Public Market that has a great little cheese shop and other fun little stores (a little candy shop with locally made candy, an olive oil shop etc etc.). And the walk between the Art Museum and the Public Market isn’t long and is quite nice. You can also have a cup of coffee or a snack at the Pfister hotel along the way. It has a beautiful lobby and is in the middle of the Museum and the Public Market…..And Milwaukee is generally quite cold by this time of year. So you should enjoy the weather.
