I have never felt more understood:
I even remember what the essay was about: a denunciation of the horribly socialistic and twerpy Mexican author Elena Poniatowska. I had to rewrite the whole thing from scratch and got an A+ on it but the horror of that moment remains engraved on my brain.

Of course, she’s awful herself. But the GOP majorly fumbled by pushing everyone but Vivek Ramaswamy out of the race. Even a generic liberal who’s out of step with the median Ohio voter can so easily attack him, and there’s no real answer to what she’s saying because it’s true. At this point I’m just hoping Tim Ryan runs because otherwise it’s gonna be the matchup from hell.

I was speaking about this on my show the other day. Vivek is going to cost us Ohio because the Dems know how to exploit these weaknesses. We, on the other hand, have mostly stopped exploiting theirs. The last time we did it was Trump’s “Harris is for they/them ” That was masterful but since then we’ve had no rhetorical finds of the same caliber.

There’s only one poll that shows Acton close, and she’s a poor fit for Ohio. I actually think Vivek will pull through if she remains the nominee. But if Tim Ryan jumps in the race, Ohio Dems are real contenders. It’s insane that even Acton has some chance. She’s a boilerplate liberal and one of the major architects of the Ohio lockdown who was forced to resign due to popular anger.

She’s terrible, I agree. A slightly better candidate with the same talking points about Vivek’s blunder, and we are in trouble.
Hoping for the best for Ohio! A wonderful state that deserves a strong R governor.

Whenever you write anything lengthy on your computer, it’s a good idea to make a backup copy (preferably on a different drive) AS YOU WRITE, adding to the backup after each paragraph.
This doesn’t take long, and can save you a lot of grief.
