Whatever filter she’s using is quite uncanny

At least she offers real dates, not that OF crap. Or at least I hope it’s real dates.

This business idea is new, it seems. You pay money, so far so good, but you’re not guaranteed to get laid. You hand over cash and the only thing promised is the experience of having handed over cash. What the hell, man? You take prostitution and strip away the only defensible things about it: the honesty and clarity of the transaction lol.

Yes, the initial payment only gets you onto the list of candidates who’ll be asked to make the next payment. So basically you pay in order to pay more in order to pay more, etc.
This is so funny

I’m starting to think that, alongside marriage and children, a new marker of status may become the complete absence on social media. If you’re still on facebook or instagram, consuming and posting AI slop, you’re basically a prole. The real high-status behavior will become participation in small, gated online communities catering to specific interests, or even better, a return to building networks and relationships in real life.

Totally. People who share and consume those horrid AI videos on social media and don’t even understand why it’s pathetic are the lowest rung of the new class ladder.

“a “date deposit app””
My first thought is that it’s anti-ghosting insurance…. apparently it’s common now for a young woman to ‘confirm’ a date several times and then simply not show up and block the guy’s number.
Presumably if the woman doesn’t show up the guy gets his deposit back?
My second thought is that it’s just an “escort” app with some not very plausible deniability…. “Your honor! I take date preparation seriously! The $500 the jo… this gentlemen sent me was spent on a new dress and a spa day so I would look my best!”

That was my thought.
It’s not that she’s not a hooker. Probably *is* a very straightforward transaction IRL. We presume she doesn’t live in Nevada so needs a legal dodge, and she’s after the sort of high-rent clientele who want the “girlfriend experience”.

Also, men who are deeply interested in meeting a woman who needs extensive sums of money to prepare for a date are … a very specific type. Normal men who are looking for something serious tend to be put off by that kind of woman.
