The film follows 2 people trying to find love in a world where premarital sex is only legal for one day. pic.twitter.com/10gnCXpDNf
Much of the liberal agenda stems from the liberals’ fantasy that somebody is going to prevent them from having sex.

Sex is so cheaply available that they fantasize about this, because they secretly want it to be more valuable?

That’s absolutely what it is. It’s their erotic fantasy that somebody will stop the madness in which they exist.

All that fighting to remove every possible limit, every boundary, every hint of shame. Normalized everything that used to be taboo. Now there’s nothing to naughtily transgress! No frisson of danger or allure of the forbidden.
Now they fantasize about limits to get turned on, and since they are unable to impose those limits themselves (eliminating those is part of their core identity and can’t be touched), they must be imposed.
Bless their hearts.

What a weird theory, though. We’ve remade societies for the sake of the theory that the best sex happens completely outside of any attachment, feeling, familiarity or emotion. That the best sex is the most inconsequential and meaningless. Isn’t this the most bizarre theory one can think of? All the efforts made to mainstream it. All the issues to which it gave rise. And it doesn’t even work! The people who bought into it the most are the unhappiest. Yet they are still unable to criticize the theory because it’s sacred to them.

I wonder if there’s not some kind of biological underpinning to all that.
People who tend to high-novelty-seeking behavior also tend to be less excitable on a neurological level: need more stimulation to get to the same place than low-novelty-seeking, higher-neuro-excitability people. There does seem to be some correlation between these subsets and political affiliation…

Well, it was never going to work, because whether the designer was Ol’Mom Nature or Jehovah Himelf, human bonding is largely controlled by hormones. A reality that fools from the miserably unhappy Wollstonecraft onward desperately wish to ignore.
