I haven’t been to Quebec City and completely forgot (or never noticed) how much it resembles San Sebastián, my favorite city in Spain.
I could have come here the whole time instead of traveling so far for the same thing.

I could have come here the whole time instead of traveling so far for the same thing.
But how? San Sebastián is on the Basque coast, a sea harbour with an exquisite cuisine culture and a tradition as an upscale, almost luxurious seaside resort.
Don’t know much about Québec City, though, and have never been there, whereas I’ve visited San Sebastián several times.

I get it! It is the geography, the climate, and the general atmosphere, right? Or perhaps the food? And of course, you are thinking about the central neighbourhoods of Quebec City. Otherwise, Quebec City is a huge suburb with many little highways going in pointless directions.
Reykjavik reminded me of Quebec City.
Enjoy your stay there!

Definitely the climate. The architecture, the layout. Some buildings are just identical. What a great place. I should come more often.
