A London, Ont., doctor who assessed a patient with inflammatory bowel disease and a history of mental health issues for MAID outside a Tim Hortons location and later personally drove the man to the place his life was ended has agreed to a minimum six months’ supervision.

Ont stands for the Canadian province of Ontario, in case people don’t know. Beyond this, I understand nothing in this news item. Why would the doctor do this? It’s hard enough to see a doctor at a hospital in Canada, let alone have one trudge all the way to a Tim Hortons (a Canadian coffee shop chain) to meet you. Does the doctor have a quota on the number of people he offs? Is he a psychopath who enjoys ending people’s lives?
MAID seems to be the one thing it’s easy to find a doctor for in Canada

“the one thing it’s easy to find a doctor for in Canada”
The Canadian government is clearly prioritizing it.

Bonus payments from the government would certainly explain some of the news stories coming out. I wonder if it’s related to the organ-donation thing.

This is news from 2023: https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/article/canada-performing-more-organ-transplants-from-maid-donors-than-any-country-in-the-world/
It is 2026, I am sure they figured out how to do this on a larger scale now.

After the nation state, people living in a place (‘citizen’ no longer means anything) are livestock to be exploited including dismembered and sold for parts).

Exactly. I used to be in favor of organ donations. I no longer am because without a high-trust society, it’s marking yourself as a potential candidate for elimination, so no, thanks.

I stopped being an organ donor years ago, when I found out how financially corrupt the industry is. I did not know for sure that they were killing people to harvest their organs, but all the incentives were there.

After reading the article, it becomes clear that authorities in Canada are actually encouraging, if not incentivising, organ donations among euthanised people.
The law should instead prohibit it: people who are so distressed that they want to be killed are not mentally fit – by definition – to make such decisions.
Also, the idea that organs are just “parts” that can be trafficked as if they were car spares is not just dehumanising, it’s also biologically wrong: a body is a whole, it cannot be seen as merely an assembly of different parts. Each organ, and the very tissues and bones, indeed every single cell, is in relation with the other constituents of the body. I can’t imagine the stress they carry.
I’m sure that follow-up studies would demonstrate that organs coming from people with suicidal ideation are not so great for people who desperately want to live.

you never see them prescribing this procedure for Brown canadians?

Around 95% of MAID recipients across Canada are white.

Is there an organ compatibility reason for this, perhaps?

“organ compatibility reason for this, perhaps”
Could be… China already operates organ harvesting for profit (and I would not be at all surprised if similar stuff is going on in India and the Middle East…..update: a few minutes of googling and… yeah… it’s going on…
So maybe Canada is just filling a gap the market has hitherto neglected…

While all of this is undoubtedly true, population replacement has a logic of its own that is more powerful than any utilitarianism. It would be done and it will be done even if it is utterly unprofitable. The argument, for example, that mass migration was going to save the economies of developed countries has proven to be completely untrue yet these policies have not been suspended as a result of that.

Forget not being suspended, they’re still screaming it no matter how much empirical evidence is produced. The countries that tracked figures (Netherlands and Denmark) both found that middle eastern immigrants are a net drain on the economy from the moment of their arrival till they kick the bucket. And their children born in the new country aren’t any better.
Yet still no backing down on disproven folk ideas…

Climate change is bunk, but resource depletion is real.
What better way to conserve enough fossil energy resources to maintain the rich in luxury global jetsetting lifestyles forever, than reduce the plebes to mud and thatch? There’s plenty of oil left, provided most people don’t have cars, climate control, or home appliances.

Found it!
https://www.donoralliance.org/newsroom/donation-essentials/multicultural-groups-donation-does-race-matter-in-organ-transplants/
“Although organ transplant candidates are not matched based on race or ethnicity, and people of different ethnicities often match one another, transplant matches made within ethnic groups can be even more compatible and successful.”
So yes, there are race-based compatibility issues. If the customers waiting for organs are white, odds of getting a compatible organ are better if the donor is also white (ditto black, asian, etc).
second source here:
https://cascadelifealliance.org/what-we-do/race-and-organ-donation/
which notes that most of the people on the organ waitlist are nonwhite.
This suggests a couple of questions:
-In a socialized healthcare system, all of these recipients’ transplant procedures should cost the same. Is there money changing hands under the table to expedite things?
-Does Canada sell organs outside its borders?

And also:
-Is Canada discriminating against brown organ *recipients* in its lopsided pursuit of white organ donors?

So, not only a serial killer, but an incompetent serial killer who tortured second victim and didn’t know to avoid leaving documentary evidence on the phone of the first victim, who he personally escorted to his death!
I understand the arguments in favour of assisted suicide, but I haven’t yet found anywhere that protects us from the murderous scum of society.

I kinda like the Swiss version where you have to pay like 10.000$ to do it. Shows commitment and hopefully makes it less inviting for most people.
