The cat suddenly started making jerky movements with one of her hind paws. We began to analyze and overanalyze, consulting books, watching YouTube videos, googling and following the animal around better to observe this unusual behavior.
“What is she trying to tell us?” we kept asking. “What does this mean in cat language?”
It took forever to notice that she had a bit of see-through sticky tape on her paw that she was trying to remove in this way.
On the positive side, from my new book about cat behavior, I found out that many of the things the cat does that bother me are an expression of her profound love for me. I am a lot more reconciled to them now.
