Is It OK to Be Mean to Invaders?

Ukranians aren’t giving a well-deserved and proportional response to Russia to please the smug mealy-mouthed bastards like this Jay. This attitude, if not radically and severely counteracted, is going to be the death of our civilization. The idea that it’s extremely important not to be mean to invaders is poisonous. The belief that it’s better to be raped, robbed, and murdered than to hit back at the invader is immoral and self-defeating.

I’m not talking about Ukraine right now. This endless chant that “Russian civilians should not suffer” is identical to “Starving Moroccan women and children deserve a chance at a better life.”

Moral high ground is a poor consolation prize for losing your country.

    Bombing military sites just seems strategically smarter. Nothing about humanism.

    Lately I have found it quite useful to look at political and cultural phenomena through the prism of “narcissism”. From this perspective, Gad Saad is wrong when he calls it “suicidal empathy”. There is a subset of narcissists that see themselves as the most caring, most compassionate, most concerned about the lot of this or that oppressed group, or about the “sanctity of human life”, etc. There is not much actual empathy in this attitude. It is very common for the narcissists to express much more compassion, empathy, etc to the “outsiders” than to the members of their own family… (And true narcissists really believe that about themselves, that they are superior because they are more compassionate, they do not just fake it / perform.)

    I actually do not think majority of the Left are this kind of narcissists. Most just do not think for themselves, and then there is probably a fraction that have doubts but do not voice them because they want to have a better political or academic career.

    And no, the Left is not more vulnerable to being hijacked and led by the narcissists, it just looks superficially different.

    Reminded me of “Palestinian civilians should not suffer” .

    “be raped, robbed, and murdered than to hit back” demand is applied in Israeli case too.

      True. And the same goes for the natives of European countries who are supposed to put up with egregious offenses from migrants, but not respond even verbally.

      The Spanish government is allocating tens of millions of euros to feed the “unaccompanied minors” who invaded Ceuta. Stupid Western women are raped, dismembered, and stuffed into suitcases as they flock to help the poor, suffering migrant victims. We have to be nice! Above everything, it’s super duper important to be nice. The crucial goal of never being mean to anybody is worth being replaced, eliminated, and destroyed.
