It’s great to be on sabbatical and have a kid in school. Any temptation to sleep in and lounge around aimlessly is defeated by the reality of having to get up by 5:40 a.m. to get my daughter to school on time.
She wakes up and and chirps, “I’m so happy, Mommy! I’m so excited.” Hearing this is all that a person needs to get charged up for the day, like a glowing battery.
