I don’t have much of an opinion on AfD’s successes in Germany. Of course, people are tired of mass migration and are looking for somebody who would put an end to this horror show. Unfortunately, I don’t think that Weidel is that person. Nothing about her is remotely conservative.
I have no idea at this point what would be a good path forward for Germany. I’m much more optimistic for Spain.

You’re absolutely right, she’s a far cry from conservative. She’s a radical, and we all know how that ends.
Having said that, what alternative was left for a rational citizen who wants to steer away his country from the migrationist, globalist, end-Western-civilisation mainstream ideology which all other parties are more or less bent on?
At this point, one either doesn’t go out to vote – which is bad, if you believe in democracy – or else one votes for the only party that stands a chance of blowing up the whole corrupt system.
Personally, I’m happy that the AfD got exactly the same votes as all the other mainstream parties put together (CDU, SPD, the Left, the Greens) but I know that this will change nothing. Even if Wagenbach’s maverick party (BSW) were to participate in a coalition government with the AfD there is little that can actually be changed, since real power lies elsewhere. This is a great indictment of democracy, which I’ve long since stopped believing in.
More broadly speaking, Europe is done for, we are far gone anyway: in Britain and Spain demographic replacement is going on apace aided and abetted by people from the inside, and in many other countries the situation is just as dire, even though details may change: Italy, France, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden.
We had a good run, as far as civilisations go, but we also gestated within our culture the seeds of the self-destruction we are currently experiencing: call it any way you like, suicidal empathy, oikophobia, endophobia, it’s just Christianity 101. It’s the idea, derived from Christianity, that everyone is equally worthy, tyrant or slave, no matter what, and that compassion trumps self-preservation. This idea may make sense when it is anchored in Christ, but as soon as it is unmoored from a Christ-centric vision and praxis of life, it becomes a downward, suicidal spiral.
Paradoxically, Christianity created the conditions for liberalism and now liberalism is killing Christianity. Without Christianity there is no West.
