It’s really sad that almost nobody, either on the left or on the right, has the slightest idea of what socialism is. With the extraordinary amount of damage done by socialism, one would think that people would bother at least to find out the basic definition.
Using the word socialism to mean either “things I vaguely like” or “things I vaguely don’t like” is dumb and unproductive.
What socialism really means is that the government owns the means of production.
