For years, or maybe as long as a couple of decades, people have been telling me that I must read the works of the French philosopher Gilles Lipovetsky. I have his books, but I never read them. I think I was subconsciously leaving them aside until a moment such as this one, when I would need something to distract me from funeral organizing and such.
I’m currently 7 pages into one of his books, and yes, everybody who recommended him was right. My ideas have a lot of overlap with his.
