My daughter made a new friend at school. It’s a new girl, and I always feel neurotically eager for new kids to make friends. I was a new kid in school twice, and it was never a pleasant experience. I always encourage Klara to strike up conversations with new kids.
The two 10-year-olds sat next to each other on the swings and had a conversation about politics. How their families are voting, why, who their favorite candidates are (which is based mostly on how much they like the names on yard signs), whether they feel that the president is doing a good job. It’s incredibly cute.
