To offset my Christmas turkey disaster, I cooked an amazing duck cassoulet today. I can’t eat it because it’s not diabetic-friendly but judging by my husband’s reaction, my cooking skills are back.
I’m going to do a kick-ass New Year’s table because I’m so embarrassed about my Christmas fiasco. Negative motivation is everything.

Turns out that while I was away I missed the funniest development of the year. Trump tricked everybody into thinking that he was going to declare war on Venezuela so that people would tune into his speech and there would be motivation to watch and air it on the networks.
And, obviously, there was no declaration of war. Instead, everybody had to listen to Trump explain his economic policy. Good for him. The “war is coming” crowd deserves that and more. I’m loving this trick.

Consider the absolute disrespect for the concept of citizenship. It’s been turned into a lottery prize. Something so trivial and insignificant that you don’t need to even try to qualify. Surely, the Trump administration put an end to that, right?
Well, we all know I’m being funny on purpose. In reality, more diversity green cards were handed out by the Trump administration in 2025 than the Biden administration in 2023.

This was a guy who did not need to go to war. He was successful, educated, never had trouble making a living. But he saw the ethnic cleansing happening and wanted to stop it. He fought heroically on Ukraine’s side from the first days of the war.
I didn’t want to write about this because it’s painful. I heard White Rex speak many times. I had great hopes for his movement to restore Russian nationalism. This is a great loss.
But I’m seeing all the usual rat bastards use this opportunity to not only rubbish White Rex but to equate nationalism with Nazism. These are disgusting lies about people who only want to live peacefully in their own countries. Losers who would never have an ounce of White Rex’s bravery and patriotism are spreading these calumnies about the fallen soldier.
There was nothing like this in Ukraine when I was growing up because in the USSR we weren’t allowed to know about Christmas, so I’m extremely glad that these ancestral Christmas traditions have been recovered and that so many young people participate:

Once Christmas traditions are taken away, it’s extremely hard to recover it. I still care more about New Year’s than Christmas. It’s very important to preserve these rituals and involve young people in them.
It’s gotten to the point where I see a billboard saying “Book your next hotel stay with us!” and feel happy because the ad references books.

It’s the leftists’ capacity to be completely sincere and even self-righteous about things like these that’s the most stunning. They openly support propping up real rape cultures overseas while decrying non-existent rape culture at home.
