What I do wonder about Tucker’s Putin interview is which Putin he got assigned. I hope it’s the Udmurt. That dude is funny, personable.

Every time I decide that Trump is too far gone and maybe I should vote for Biden, the President comes out with something like this. The extraordinary dishonesty of this statement feels like a slap in the face.

What the flying bucket do we, the voters, care whether the migrants are inconvenienced for 6 months or 60 years? What we want to know is how many of them will be dragged over the border to await the “asylum” decision. Another important question is what percentage will be denied and on what criteria. (For those who don’t know: the bill radically lowers the criteria). Yet another question is how many will be deported if the decision is negative.

This “border security bill” is amnesty, pure and simple.

“Here! We have proposed measures for border security! They consist of rubber-stamping more immigrants faster! The only reason why Republicans don’t want this brilliant solution is because they are afraid Trump won’t be able to run on immigration after it.”

Biden is saying it completely openly. And people are so anaesthesized by the media spin that they nod and say, yes, this will solve the problem, totally.

Republicans oppose this bill because voters don’t want amnesty. Voters want an immediate and massive reduction in migration numbers. All voters, not just Republicans.

And, folks, this is just one small part of the bill. It goes on and on, listing the categories of illegal migrants who should be speedily given green cards. It’s an enormous expansion of who is entitled to a legal status. Will that expansion reduce the number of people eager to cross the border? The answer is obvious.

Men are women, amnesty is border security. And people get caught up in these language games every single time. We should be thankful that there is still a handful of Republicans who are refusing to accept this absolute travesty.

And hey, do you know what people in Ukraine told me about this? One person said, “please, don’t let Democrats push this through. We desperately need military aid but if you let this bill get signed, the next step will be that the Dems will force us to accept 5,5 million migrants. They’ve already been talking about this.” This is a direct quote from a guy who just returned from the front lines. I heard similar things from others.

“What’s your profession?” asked the new accountant.

“College professor,” said I.

“Engineer,” suddenly said N.

My eyes popped wide open because I never heard him describe himself as an engineer. This was the very first time in 17 years.

Of course, my reaction took the accountant aback.

“He’s not an engineer?” he asked, eyeing me suspiciously.

“I’m sure he is. Whatever he says,” I chirped. Unlike N who thinks fast on his feet, I’m a slow, plodding thinker.

“Are you the wife?” asked the now completely confused accountant. “And what kind of engineer? Electrical?”

“No, not electrical,” I squeaked, trying to demonstrate that I am, indeed, the wife. “Right?” I asked turning to N who could have easily become an electrical engineer and forgotten to mention it.

This is why everybody’s who uses the expression “the Global South” (of which Russia is considered not only a part but a leader) is engaging in leftist propaganda.

There is no Global South. There are countries that like to pout at the US because it’s easy to consider the US the cause of all ills. It lets you off the hook of actually doing something to improve your own country. These countries can have permafrost covering half of their territory and still consider themselves “Global South.”

Poor Tucker Carlson is already being disproved by the Kremlin before his interview with Putin even aired.

In the announcement of the interview, Carlson claimed that no Western journalist has “bothered” to ask for an interview so far to hear what Putin has to say. The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today that this is completely untrue and that there have been many such requests. The reason why the interviews never took place is because the Kremlin has denied all requests.

I don’t know what’s going on with Tucker. The efforts to interview Putin are widely known. So are Putin’s refusals. It was easy to predict that this claim would be immediately disproved. He’s setting himself up to be humiliated for no reason.

Dude liked to play golf and practiced Alpine skiing. Obviously, he didn’t have to go to war but he volunteered on day one, fought to defend Kharkiv, then fought in Bakhmut. The most dangerous battles of the war so far. And all that time he could have been on a villa somewhere in the Alps or wherever.

This is so that people can spot some differences between nation-state rich and post-nation state rich. How many of our country’s 100 richest people would go in the trenches to defend us? I sound stupid even asking this question.

Yes, when you actually read the “border security bill”, your eyes pop wide open. We are being gaslit to an extraordinary degree with all these headlines about how “Biden wanted to solve the border crisis.”

So I watched the Tucker Carlson / Bret Weinstein video on the migration crisis. I have to say, it’s a nifty manipulation trick. It’s even kind of cute.

There’s no need to worry about the tens of millions of “desperate peasants” [direct quote] from Central America, says Tucker. Instead, let’s worry about the very scary 150 Chinese dudes Weinstein saw in Panama. The Chinese dudes will come to the US, change the electoral map, and penetrate into the US army. That’s the real danger.

Note the manipulation on the level of the language. “Desperate peasants” versus “military-age, hostile men.” Who scares you more? The answer is obvious. And that’s the whole point.

The mysterious Chinese dudes in Panama aren’t sleeping on the floor of the Logan Airport. They are not receiving welfare payments in the billions in New York, clogging up the public school system in Texas, or causing an outlandish number of traffic accidents everywhere. They aren’t selling fentanyl across the street. But let’s concentrate on them because they might become a problem at some future time. As an added bonus, there’s nothing anybody can do about them while they are all the way in Panama, and that’s great because it’s crucial never to do anything about immigration.

You know when I lost the modest interest I had in Nikki Haley? When she was asked about fentanyl overdoses and she started to talk about China. China hasn’t been part of the US fentanyl crisis for the better part of a decade. It no longer even supplies ingredients to the cartels to make fentanyl. Fentanyl is a 100% Mexican problem. But we are not allowed to say “Mexico.”

Weinstein and Carlson obediently avoid mentioning Mexico. Instead, they prattle on about China, which has become a code word for “let’s not do anything about the migrant crisis.”

In the meantime, the electoral map has already been changed in states like California and soon Texas without any assistance from China. But we should forget all about it and concentrate instead on some future issue that might arise.

I watched the video in good faith, hoping to hear something about what’s actually causing the problem with the Southern border. Instead, I heard the same old pablum we are getting from Nikki Haley, Joe Biden, and the rest of them. Not a word was said about the actual issue (which I explained on this blog six times this year alone, and won’t repeat because it’s getting boring).

Sure, why not?

Lie #1. “These people are refugees, fleeing from mortal danger / These people should immigrate legally instead of choosing the illegal path.”

There’s no danger in Central America that is more mortal than the journey to the border. These are not refugees because there’s nothing for them to seek refuge from. Their cities aren’t carpet-bombed. When you look at actual refugees, for instance, the Ukrainian ones, you’ll see that they are a) almost all women and children; b) almost all desperately want to go home; c) aren’t picky about the country they end up in. Finding a 25-year-old male Ukrainian refugee who is not severely disabled or a very religious father of 6 is an impossibility.

So no, not refugees.

At the same time, “these people should immigrate legally” is just as much of a lie. There is absolutely no path for these people to immigrate to the US legally. None. Zero. It doesn’t exist. It exists for people like me and my husband. But not for the people crossing the Rio Grande and crawling through barbed wire. They lie about being refugees because there’s no other way for them to immigrate to the US.

So no, not absolute lunatics who disregard the safe, legal path in favor of illegality.

You want more lies?

“Comprehensive immigration reform” that, as  Ann Coulter famously said, always means “amnesty” whether said by Republicans or Democrats.

“Trump / Biden wanted to solve the migration crisis but Democrats / Republicans didn’t let him.”

I could continue but you get the picture.

The media lies regarding the so-called “border security bill” are at the COVID level. Even after observing what happened during COVID, I am quite stunned by the absolute cynicism of the journalists who say that Republicans are opposed to this bill because they don’t want to let Biden solve the border crisis because then Trump won’t have anything to run on.

The bill would give a hundred Trumps something to run on because all it does is open the border much more and invite more migrants in. Not that the hundred Trumps would do anything to rectify the issue. Because there’s not a single person in US politics or media who wants it solved.

This is hard to write about because these utter cynics are using Ukraine to ram through their open-border legislation. “See? We are offering to solve the border,” they screech. “But Republicans are in thrall to Trump and hate Ukraine, so they prefer to keep the border wide open!” The eye-popping dishonesty of these manipulative statements would be funny if so much weren’t at stake.

The situation is worse than COVID because during COVID we had Alex Berenson and other people who were doing research and uncovering facts. Right now, all I’m seeing is egregious lies from both Left and Right. The Left’s lies are louder because the Left controls the media but that doesn’t make the Right’s lies any less dishonest.

In short, open borders are turning into no borders, and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it.
