Demand More

Spain’s ruling coalition of socialists and the far left is set to be trounced in the coming election. Not that the Spanish right is all that much better, but the left deserves a major trouncing for overseeing a massive destruction of working rights while distracting people with every gender lunacy in existence.

We, the voters, should exact swift, painful punishment on every politician and party – EVERY ONE – that mentions gender or race in any context before delivering something very important on the economy. Whether they are for or against, they should shut up about it and work on making it easier for people to get good housing, make savings, prepare for retirement, get stable jobs, and feel financially secure.

The gender and race blabber on both sides are a con trick. We need to start demanding more.

Reading and Focus

I’m not surprised. Readers aren’t created in college. They are created at home long before anybody reaches college age.

It’s getting harder to raise readers because reading requires a capacity for deep focus. We need to put in daily work to protect and develop our children’s capacity to focus. Not only does it ensure a much better quality of life, it’s also going to be the highest paid skill on the job market because it will be rare.

Meet You Halfway

Russia: We’re going to kill you all.
Ukraine: We’re going to stop you.
Idiots: You guys should meet halfway.

Pass It On

The Aveeno Eczema Therapy cured the eczema that tortured me for years. I’d tried everything, cheap, expensive, experimental, herbal, medicated, home remedies, ancient wisdom – nothing worked. I’m spreading the news in case there are sufferers who don’t know this wonderful cream exists.

On the Alert

Everything has to be curated, people. Everything. We took the kids to a children’s musical on campus and discovered that two of the lead adult female roles were played by men. There was so much spreading of legs and throwing up of thighs while wearing skimpy shorts that I was permanently on edge that a stray body part was about to fall out.

It’s tiresome always have to be on the alert about this stuff.

Anticipating Coffee

That’s my covetous look as I ogle the coffee maker. Happy Sunday morning, everybody!

Small Town Living

There was an opera performance for kids at the public library today. I came across it by accident and realized I knew half of the people in the audience. And that’s in spite of doing everything I can to avoid meeting anybody.

It’s really nice.

Good Guys Win

I’m listening to a Polish expert who’s saying that in the past year, the US has pushed Russia out of the European energy markets to the tune of up to 30 trillion dollars. That’s getting close to our entire external debt.

I know people aren’t capable of perceiving good news, so I’ll put it more bluntly: this is 30 trillion dollars going to us. And we are taking them away from really nasty dudes. This is great all around.

An aside for the particularly gifted: no, this doesn’t mean the US “provoked the war”. Russia and nobody else “provoked” it by starting it.

Pre-election

That’s a good way to put it. You can have either the weirdos or the normies. It’s impossible to cater simultaneously to both.

DeSantis had a great opportunity but he pissed it away. He tried to be everything to everybody and that always has the opposite effect.

At this very early point, I like Mike Pence. Obviously, a lot can still happen but for now he sounds sane and strong.

Of course, it’s important to remember that national governments no longer can solve the most pressing problems we experience because those problems don’t appear and develop on a national level. This process of the erasure of national subjecthood is far more advanced in Europe than in the US but it’s occurring here, too. So please don’t hate your neighbor over an election that means less and less for you in practical terms.
