Oh look, Arizona Republicans agree with you! You must be sooooo proud of the company you keep!

Yes, but Arizona. . . When was the last time anything not completely scary came out of Arizona?

One of my friends is a local college professor. She recently showed me this site were students RATE THEIR PROFESSORS as far as the grades and how many students each professor failed and such … You probably know about it – I was shocked though!

Yes, I’m on Rate My Professor. The last time I looked I had very positive comments. They love me for some reason, no matter how often I fail them.

If you’re a good, interesting and fair teacher, your students will like you. Grades doesn’t really matter.

David:
Now there is a “bathroom bill” before the state Legislature — “show me your papers” before you pee. Read it:
A PERSON COMMITS DISORDERLY CONDUCT IF THE PERSON INTENTIONALLY ENTERS A PUBLIC RESTROOM, BATHROOM, SHOWER, BATH, DRESSING ROOM OR LOCKER ROOM AND A SIGN INDICATES THAT THE ROOM IS FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF PERSONS OF ONE SEX AND THE PERSON IS NOT LEGALLY CLASSIFIED ON THE PERSON’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE AS A MEMBER OF THAT SEX.
Does it mean that a person of “questionable ” gender needs to actually carry around Birth Certificate or does it mean that one can not be caught ” with penis ” in ladies bathroom?LOL

Are you doing this on purpose? 🙂 🙂 🙂

Lana, if a man go to a women bathroom right now, this is considered as a disorderly conduct right now, and nobody found this as an issue before the “trans women with penises in women bathrooms” issue came up. So why this is a big deal for other non-women with penises?

I think time has come to rename my blog ‘The Toilet Discussion Forum’ because nobody seems to want to discuss anything else. 🙂 🙂

I would not have said anything else about it if Lana hadn’t comment this.

It’s OK, people should discuss whatever makes them happy. I’m just kidding!

David , just tell me where you think the ones who look like women , but have penises should go? Or for that matter, where the ones who are obviously men , who look and dress like women ,who may or may not have a penis , should go ?

Yes, it is a big question how people will be proving if they have the correct genitals. I’m not sure I’m quite prepared to pass this test every time I need to pee.

Let’s adopt the bathroom model widely seen in Scandinavia and some other European countries in newer buildings, where each toilet is in a self-contained little room with sink etc., and each of these little rooms is available to any person who wants to use them regardless of gender – the sign on the door shows both the traditional symbols. It both removes these sorts of discussions and leads to fewer queueing issues if a group which happens to be made up predominantly of either gender has a comfort break at a set point in time.

This sounds like the perfect solution.
But if this were to happen, then what would people discuss? What laws would the legislators champion? 🙂

Unisex loos were being tried out in offices in the UK back in 2000. There’s a discussion about it on the BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/726715.stm
Meanwhile in the US, there’s a website where you can find gender neutral bathrooms, and add the ones you find. http://safe2pee.org/new/about.php

Whatever you say, sunshine.
As for myself, I’m just going to bask in the irony of the fact that the very man who two weeks whined piteously that “cissexual” was a slur equivalent to “bitch” or “nigger” is now unironically calling Jan Brewer a ‘bitch’ and Barack Obama an “uncle Tom.” I suppose that the fact that you’re an anarchist also comes with a magical Get-Out-Of-Massive-Hypocrisy-Free card.

I call Brewer a bitch because she’s a women-hating politician. I call Barack OSama an “Uncle Tom” for the same reason than Nader.
