Spammers Are Dumb

A spammer has been attempting to post a comment on my blog. The most hilarious thing about that comment is that it starts with the words “my hubby insisted that I offer you some advice.”

If there is one phrase that a feminist blogger will get annoyed with, it is this one. If there is one word this autistic can’t stand, it’s “hubby.”

You, stupid, stupid spammer. Just go away already and take your insistent hubby with you.

  1. Autism is…..a mental condition plus a reduced ability to to respond or to communicate with the outside world. No offense Clarissa, but is “this autistic” yourself or the spammer. I am married and don’t like the official term “husband,” so often use “hubby.” I also use spouse but some peole, women in particular, don’t understand the word spouse, like I’m speaking a foreign language.

    1. I’m autistic. For me, it means that I get intense emotional attachments to specific words. The word “acrobat”, for example, creeps me out. The word “hubby” just drives me nuts. I can’t explain it, it’s just how it is. There are words, however, that make me intensely happy. Like “cucumber.” I just love saying it. 🙂 Who knows why?

  2. Okay Clarissa, “hubby” drives you ‘nuts,’ while “husband” is the legal term for a married man. I’ve found through newspapers and t.v. that many autistic patients, are very gifted in many ways.

What motivated you to start blogging? 🙂

  3. How does Asperger’s (autism) manifest itself in you? The only person who’s character had Asperger’s Syndrome, was an actor in the now-defunct series, Boston Legal. He would put both arms, with hands, palm side down, placed just above his knee and occasionally utter, perhaps, high-pitched sounds which he tried to control while in the ‘courtroom.’

A little something about me. I love Twitter and the Feminist blogs there. Whatever you said…it caught my eye. I enjoy your writing. Do you order books from Amazon.com or merely review them?
I am also analytical which I don’t believe my sister likes about me; she considers me TOO much so but that is who I am so I’m not about to change. I am an idealogue to a degree. As a feminist, I wish people, both Conservative and Liberal, could peacefully co-exist the way certain animals do. It’s never going to happen because Conservatism is hell-bent on changing progression. I don’t tell social conservatives what to say, except of course when it affects me personally. I don’t expect others to conform to my beliefs, however, don’t condemn me for my opposite beliefs.
You have mentioned your being Jewish, I am not ant-Semitic, no matter whether the person is Polish, Russian or German.
Politically incorrect for me is calling adult women….’guys’… ‘girls’….and ladies, the latter being an ethic….a woman being an adult female, landlord instead of landlady, you get my drift.
Your picture on your blog and you’re 35, I thought in looking at your picture, you were a young 20-something. Your hair is long and curly and mine is natural too.
I can honestly relate to your early life. My father because of personal circumstances (whatever they were) moved the four of us from one end of England to the other and the same when my Mum, brother and I, moved to Canada. I never had a stable home lilfe nor had any friends. We were four dysfunctional people: a loving, unconsciously overprotective Mum and a father who couldn’t keep a steady job and who had a great bond with his only son.
I look for people who are more like me than not. Feminist, atheist and gay-friendly and of course, things in common. My opinions have mostly been shot down by the men in my spouse’s life, all cousins who all talked to me, as individuals like I….didn’t know what I was talking about.
I don’t have a university education, but I know more now than I ever learned in high school. And a plus for me….I’m articulate.
I have found on Facebook, that although it’s a forum for all types of opinions, a user isn’t really FREE to express them without someone complaining to the FB “head honchos” or themselves, removing one or blocking them.
Sarah Palin’s daughter, Willow, has followed in her mother’s footstep in that she’s anti-gay. Willow’s page has a young follower and Willow herself, had put a terribly homophobic comment on her page and another woman and myself, we had both commented but the other woman was left unscathed. The young teenager basically told me if I made one more comment about Willow, she’d report me and for what! That was Facebook’s old format.
Clarissa, when you do do an article on depression, I’d love to read it. I have been through major clinical depression but now it’s down to a dull roar with a few more to add to the mix.
I lived in a tent with my parents and brother and sister and two dogs. We had a rectangular freezer holding all our worldly possessions.
The Pierre Trudea airport you mentioned….it used to be Dorval Airport.
