I have discovered that I can blog while lying on the beach. This takes my definition of happiness to a completely different level.

  1. After reading about the below case, I wanted to ask what’s your idea of gun laws in US. Is the current regulation enough? I mean, those teen shooters from school, now this thing. Can any madman legally get a gun?

    1. After the story about this 8 yo kid in Detroit who killed a little girl with a gun that just was lying around, I don’t know what anybody else can say. What’s most shocking is that the program I saw blamed his mother for having a job and said almost nothing about the uncle who had guns lying around.

      1. So far it has been the shooting with the most victims in US. May be you could write a post about guns & shootings & whether you see a problem to be resolved here? I mean, does it happen in other countries as often? If not, is it merely the size factor of a country? I’ve been living in Israel for years and except for terrorism, which is a different issue, have heard only once of a case of similar nature. The case you cited of children & guns is a different problem and the solution is simple (in theory, at least) – don’t leave guns near kids. I talk of a problem of such men (so far, all seem to be men), who go on shootings. In your opinion, should a citizen be able to buy full body armor, as this murderer used? How can, if at all, society minimize the number of those shooters?

    1. I meant the bit about Taliban’s reasons for not vaccinating children and Iran’s reasons for not letting in nuclear inspectors, as Penguin sees them.
