I’m trying on clothes at my favorite Macy’s. I know this dress looks boring but I promise to show you how I decorate it with my beautiful scarves and shawls of which I have a huge collection and you will agree that it makes sense to buy it.
Plus it’s great for work because you can put any jacket over it. If the weather ever gets to the point of requiring a jacket, that is.

Yes, buy it. I just bought this one http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/calvin-klein-dress-sleeveless-pleated-a-line?ID=536330&cm_mmc=Google_Feed_pla_pe-_-adtype-pla-_-target-19586772875-_-kw-&gclid=CMv63ePH57ECFSdgMgodJgsAog
but by looking it up online have realized they also have it in red. Hmmmm, that is tempting.

I have this CK dress in red! I look very good in it, albeit a little too apple-cheeked and wholesome. π

Hahaha that is just too funny! I am very tempted to do it, as I am starting to get to the stage where too much black makes me look like a Mediterranean widow or something. But, if it makes you look super wholesome, then you have something that makes you look Midwestern enough already…

Yeah, I always have this huge goofy smile, too. As much as I try to look like a woman of international mystery, I always end up looking like a cowgirl fro Arkansas.

Black is a good colour on you. π

Thank you! I think so, too. π

Love that dress! (I love black dresses. I agree: a few beautiful accessories and they look sensational!) I think you and I have similar bodies. Do you mind me asking the brand?

The brand name is a little weird. It’s called Kasper. It costs $79. But the most important thing is that it exists in my size!! In Montreal even being size 8 is considered obese and people have no idea that my size even exists.

I was very fair and black haired when young. Red was my best color. Now my hair is lighter and my skin darker so warm browns and various shades of blue look best.
I do like that dress a lot.

OK Kasper, I have found it. I did not know this brand. A lot of it seems to be on sale at this moment, so Β‘alerta! Here is the dress, I think. It would look good on me, I see, but I just bought that other black dress. Hmmm. Anyway this is weird, it is the first time I have taken a virtual shopping trip with anyone. It is kind of a convenient way to shop, I must say. http://www.dillards.com/product/Kasper-Sleeveless-Dress_301_-1_301_502959111?df=03692151_zi

I know! This is too funny. π The one you bought is better than the Kasper, though. The CK’s lining is sturdier and the material is better quality. However, the pleat makes it a little too heavy, so I’m afraid I wont be able to teach in it, hence the Kasper. I think I will wear it for 1st day of class with this very flowery Dominican shawl.

Now the Internet has led to this one. It comes in black and also navy blue, a less convenient but good color for me and that I do not have. Frightening.

OK, the red one arrived already. Black one is better although this, having come by mail, is not bad enough to send back, especially since it is a souvenir already and Hattie said it was a power dress. It is very wholesome, yes. Is in same size but looser for some reason, or perhaps the color makes the looseness show.

P.S. comparing. The red one is much bulkier, and the material is far too thick. Black one is cut so as to make one voluptuous, whereas the red one is just matronly. We measured them both at work and the cut isn’t the same, either, although if you look at them they seem to be the same dress.

I don’t need to be made even more voluptuous π so I guess it’s for the best that I got the red one.
The bulkiness is there, for sure.
