“Free Pussy Riot” Murders in Russia

Now let’s see if you have learned anything from all of my posts on Pussy Riot.

Two women were found murdered in Kazan yesterday. In the photo under the fold, see what was written on the wall in the room where the victims were found (those who don’t like to see letters written in blood, shouldn’t look. There are no dead bodies or body parts, just letters. I respect people’s sensitivity but also have to add that if things like this traumatize you, you probably shouldn’t be following events in Russia):

And now a question: does anything strike you as unexpected or unusual about this photo?

The writing seems to go behind the fridge. (I suppose that white box is a fridge) and all the stuff in front of the writing. And why is it written in English?

    I have followed your posts, and agreed with many of your statements above Pussy Riots and its methods. However, I have to say that, by talking to people of different backgrounds, I (unfortunately) have to admit that Pussy Riot has brought more attention to Putin’s neo-dictatorship than his election fraud or even his continous support to the Sirian regime.       Whose attention? The West’s? Why should anybody in Russia care? Putin doesn’t care what the West pays attention to (did you watch his notorious interview with Larry King?) He cares about keeping power in his country in his own hands.

However, I have to say that, by talking to people of different backgrounds, I (unfortunately) have to admit that Pussy Riot has brought more attention to Putin’s neo-dictatorship than his election fraud, his continous support to the Sirian regime, or the dangerously growing power of the church. Maybe, this “spectacle” will prove to be more important than it seems. Sometimes, it is only a question of bringing enough attention to a place, rather than the specific protest. A spark can create a big fire.

    Right! But do you think the Russians have the power to diminish Putin’s power when they don’t even have access to half of what’s going on in their own country? Maybe, their only hope is an international “watch out” state.

      – They are not any less aware of it than people in the US are aware of their own reality, actually. In Russia, anybody can publish whatever they please online. The newspapers fall on all sides of the political spectrum and television is very comparable in terms of its toothlesness with what we see in the US.

I don’t understand why would the *murderers* write such a thing, except as a sick joke. Can’t believe that after killing 2 women, one thinks “OK, now for the real goal of those murders – discrediting Pussy Riot”.

  As somebody who reads many mystery novels :-), I think this is the perfect way of diverting suspicion from oneself, nothing else. Instead of looking on the murderer(s), everybody will now concentrate on the Pussy Riot angle.
  
  There is no doubt in my mind that the murder has nothing to do with the group.

Writing such a message is a great way to cast blame on somebody else. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that it was :
– murderers trying to frame government
– government trying to discredit western activists ( since why a Russian would write in English ?)
– sick and twisted sense of humor

Likely Putin-favoring or Putin-associated goons using a murder scene to discredit critiques of Putin and curry favor, by directing the message to Europe and the USA. Possibly the Putin-associated goon actually murdered the women for revenge or kinks, but it seems more likely that a security (whatever KGB is called now) or policeman just used the first murdered woman crime scene available.
Not subtle. Anyone with a grain of common sense would see through this.

Russian authorities arrested a 38 year old academic and accused him of committing the crime. The motive ? Probably money, so the whole “FPR” was probably just a decoy.
