Oh you! I envy you! Think about visiting Cuenca. I do not know if you have been there before, and perhaps I will say this because I had such a good time there for personal reasons, but it is a lovely place to visit for one day or two. Red de cercanías de Madrid.

Go figure out, but I loved the topography of that town, let alone its very nice museum of contemporary Spanish art.

Voting for Cuenca and against El Escorial; for Aranjuez, for Manzanares el Real, and for the Puerto de Navacerrada which should have good snow at that point and which you can get to on the red de cercanías.

Madrid so totally rules, in town, too. I want to just go there and hang out for long periods of time.

Fantastic! I’ve never got down as far as Madrid. The furthest south I’ve been in Spain is Barcelona. Madrid is a real trek from Montpellier, especially on the back of a motorbike! We tend to stick to the Costa Brava and a bit inland.
Hope you have a lovely time.

I haven’t even been to Barcelona. Something always prevents me. And now I’m not even sure if I’ll manage to get there before it separates from Spain.

If they believe that Mas will be much better than Rajoy, that’s their funeral.
