I haven’t been as excited about a research project of mine as I am about this article I’m working on right now since January 2003. So exactly ten years.
I suspect that this wild enthusiasm is not a good sign.

Why is it a bad sign?
I am now working on an article I started writing in 2005. Unlike you I am not wildly enthusiastic about it. It has to be written to get it out of my mind.

Why? Isn’t it your goal to be enthusiastic every day of your life? Seems great to me.
