N and I have this admittedly strange hobby where we stare at different kinds of alcohol and make fun of it. I know, it’s bizarre but everybody has some quirk or another.

So today we discovered this beer with a logo in Russian. And this is in a regular supermarket in a small Midwestern town.

“Imperialist stout” sounds like an insult you’d call a dictator, as well as a beer. 🙂
By the way, me and my friends also do this at the liquor store. Our favourite odd yet tasty beer is Phillips’ White Unicorn IPA:

The electric unicorn looks very cute. I think it must be more fun to stare at that label while tipsy than at the scary Rasputin guy. 🙂

If I catch sight of Rasputin at a Victoria liquor store, I’ll report back to you with my results. 🙂

That’s my favorite California brewing company too. Their pilsner is delicious.

Wait until friends start bringing this stuff to you as a gift. We once had to drink Estonian vodka – it took great effort for our American friends to find it in the Midwest… 🙂
